the churches of Al- Habania rang their bells again

    After being closed for 15 years, the churches of Al- Habania rang their bells again which their voices were being silent under compulsion and their people driven out and their citizens displaced by force, the eagerness of returning back was stronger than every will and their eyes were desiring for the meeting and directing to the domes of the churches making hour hands be hurried in order to reach quickly, their love for their churches and their nostalgia for their childhood and their loyalty for their tombs and dead ancestors was stronger than the old ages of most of them therefore; the attendants were warmer than the cold weather.

    By a generous invitation full of love and hearts beating by cordiality ensuring the deep social coexistence among the components of Iraqi people, the citizens of Al- Habania, the oasis of religious and ethnic living components in harmony and familiarity, and security and local leaders and the administration of Koli Camp site with flowers and olive branches and trustfulness from them to their Christian brothers who lived for more than 90 passed years which their number reached in the mid of the fifties of the previous century to more than 800 family, received a delegation presided by Chor Bishop Augin Dawid and the priest Bihnam Al-Shamas Isshac when they reached to St. George the martyr church consisting of more than 250 believers from the citizens of the Orient Assyrian Churches in Baghdad on Friday 11 January 2019.

    During the celebration the Chor Bishop Augin Dawid delivered a statement expressed through it about "his deep gratitude for Al- Anbar people especially of Al- Habania for their nice reception with flowers, olive branches and brotherly smile" presenting for them and in the name of the believers of the Orient Assyrian church "a greeting of love and respect for the nice good reception and the gushing feelings.

    And added "distancing from church by flesh, does not mean distancing by soul because it is present with power by soul and prayer and we always remember this church" presenting his thanks to those who preserved this church and to Youth Voice Radio "who and in the name of Al- Anbar people, and during Christmas time started a nice campaign included re-cleaning the church and through this campaign they presented a message of love for their Christian brothers everywhere and to be a motive from the believers of Baghdad to respond for this initiative by attending the church and visiting it and thanking all the righteous" Also, he presented his deep thanks and gratitude to Al- Anbar police leadership and to the security committee for providing the protection and facilitating the entrance township and to Al- Habania people for the good reception ensuring that they are noble attitudes confirming Iraq attitudes of its national unity of its one people, to represent that the beauty of Iraq civilization".

    And then the bell of St. George church rang announcing the returning of life to it again when it became silent because of the explosion in 2005 when an explosion happened to one of its external corners in 12/7/2005 and for destroying after.

    Then the Chor bishop Augin and the priest Bihnam presided a prayer devoted to it after it was stopped for more than 13 years and to be mixed the tears of the people and their prayers with the memories of this church that it was in the past crowded by believers.

    And by his role and in the name of Coli Camp In Memory site, Mr. Mohamed Abd Allah presented a gift stands for Al- Habania town to the Chor Bishop Augin Dawid estimating his role in organizing this visit and fulfilling the dream of the people to see their Christian brothers again.
